This year will be the year that is filled with holiday plan. i figure now is a good time for us to travel since the kids have grown a little and a bit easy to handle.

We went to kuching last december 08 and to cameron highland last jan (09). last week we took a long leaves (4 days!), pack our bags (we’re surely not travelling light!) and headed to Langkawi. Last time we went to the island was in 2007 during LIMA, and we did not bring our 2nd boy together with us (he was still a small baby at the time).

The island was breathtaking! the beaches, the scenery, the food & the people was fabulous. life in the island was very laidback – far from hectic and hustle bustle of the city. And this is coming from me who’s certainly does not fancy sun, sand and beach!

We stayed at Langkasuka resort – 10 mins from the airport and about 20 mins to Pekan Kuah. the room was very spacious, with 2 queen beds. it has nice, clean beach, very interesting swimming pool (with ‘air terjun’-as my kids calls it) and also kids pool. however, the breakfasts were not as i expected it to be (aka lousy).

We went to almost all tourist spots at Langkawi. cable car at Gunung Mat Cincang, Makam Mahsuri, Telaga Air Hangat, Pantai Cenang, Pantai Pasir Hitam, Taman Buaya and island hopping (Pulau Singa Besar, Beras Basah and Tasik Dayang Bunting).

The kids were having a blast of time (partly because the parents are 24/7 with them) . Abg was having fun especially at Langkawi Geopark where tourist were allowed to touch and feed the animals (rabbit and deer farm, we missed the elephant) . abg really loves animals, but adek was not interested and scared (like the mother..hehehhe).

It was certainly  fun and a bonding time for us. we will certainly come again next time!
